Vehicle Board Books
Do you notice a theme in what Baby Guy loves? VEHICLES! We get a lot of, "ya, loving vehicles is such a little boy thing." An annoying thing to hear as his mother that purchased him his first vehicles, made vehicle sounds with him before he could talk, and personally loved vehicle toys as a kids..... I am glad he has a girl his age at daycare that also loves to play with vehicles, so some of the stereotype can be avoided.

Vroom & Zoom
Fun, quirky book. Very busy, so definitely for the 2+ age group as labeled. There are lots of great prompts on each page for solid discussion. Not everything needs to be read and discussed on every read, so it's engaging for toddler and parent alike. Some questions are social studies related. (Fire truck on last page...all the others on this list have one on the cover.).

Based on that binding, it looks OLD, but we purchased it new less than two months ago.... |
My First Library: Things that Go
"Can you name it?" is Baby Guy's prompt to us each time we read this one. He's a big believer in knowing the names of EVERYTHING.

How Fire Trucks Work
Fun book for learning more about fire trucks. Shorter learning paragraphs on each page with lots of great labels. Felt short, since he was getting more into longer books at this time, but still a fun read.

Chalk Art: Vehicles
He can essentially 'read' this book. He knows the name of all the vehicles, and likes to be more specific than the page labels. He got this when he was 2, and would probably be better suited to have gotten at one year old.
