June 2024 Reading Recap

June was a month of pool, family time, and yard work.   While not a ton of books got finished, I was catching up on a lot of podcasts and my youtube subscriptions.

My most memorable book in June was Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.  I had been wanted to read this book, but after Matthew Perry died, I was unsure about reading it.  I was nervous it would be too depressing to listen to, since I knew the audiobook was read by the author.  Listening to his hope for the future and all he overcame, while knowing how his life ended was tragic, to say the least.  I hope he's finally at pease and out of the pain and sorrow he had always felt.
