Never Touch a Dragon! | Board Book Review

Never Touch a Dragon! is always funny to hear people read to Baby Guy.  As someone with a midwestern United States accent--I assume--not all the rhymes rhyme for me.  I think if someone has a Boston accent or British accent, it would be different.  People who have read it to him before always attempt to read in an accent to get "claws" and "indoors" to rhyme.

Synopsis

This rhyming, sensory book reminds us to NOT touch the dragon and what to do instead!

Likes

  • The funny story and rhymes make it an engaging book to read to babies early on because it lends itself well to reading in a goofy voice.
  • The silicone textures help maintain engagement overtime as favorite textures and patterns change.
  • O+ age recommendation!  Board books that you can start using early on are so important to get into the habit of reading together right away.

Dislikes

  • The first page not rhyming for me is sometimes a turn off.

On a scale of 0 to 5 Baby Guy claps, this would have to be 4 Baby Guy Claps!  His interest in this book goes back and forth.  He usually will finish the book with you, but sometimes he's not in the mood.  This is a book he will pick up and 'read' himself.  The texture on the front is one of his favorites.
