Never Touch the Grumpy Pumpkins | Board Book Review
Never Touch the Grumpy Pumpkins is quite possibly Baby Guy's favorite book. The pumpkins are quite deflated from when we first got the book. I purchased Baby Guy the book for Halloween, so I know it is not quite a 'summer read.' However, it seems to be his favorite book, so I thought it would be the book to start with for my board book book reviews.
Synopsis
The Halloween-themed book is a counting sensory book. The subtraction concept makes it different from some other counting books.

Likes
- The silicone pumpkins helps with engagement from a young age.
- O+ age recommendation! Even in board books, it can be difficult to find engaging books for such a young audience.
- The holes for the pumpkins helped Baby Guy manage page turning sooner than I thought he would be able to manage it.
Dislikes
- The page with two pumpkins is a little clunky, but that could be user error on my part.
Baby Guy Approval
πππππ
On a scale of 0 to 5 Baby Guy claps, this would have to be 5 Baby Guy Claps! The wrecked binding on our copy is evidence that he has read this book more than a few times. He laughs early when he knows "boooo" is coming. He loves to poke the pumpkins with his thumb or rub his hand over the pumpkins. He loves to turn to the next page. He loves to turn the pages back and forth and look at which one leaves. He likes to take the book and keep looking at it himself after it's been read to him.
